Statement
Accessibility
Last updated: 2026-05-18
The New Era Institute is committed to making its program accessible to all participants, including people with disabilities. This applies to both the online registration platform and the in-person sessions.
Platform Commitments
We design the registration and learning platform to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means:
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard alone
- Focus indicators are visible at all times
- Color is never the only signal. Error states use icons and text.
- Screen-reader labels are provided for all icon-only buttons
- The viewport supports browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scroll
- Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion
If you encounter a barrier, please report it. We treat accessibility bugs as priority fixes.
Session Accommodations
We can provide, on request:
- ASL interpretation
- Real-time captioning
- Large-print or digital copies of session materials
- Assistive-listening devices in the meeting space
- Wheelchair-accessible routing to the venue
- Dietary accommodations for any food served
Requests are easiest to fulfill with at least 5 business days’ notice. We will try to accommodate shorter notice when possible.
How to Request an Accommodation
Reply to any program email or with:
- The session(s) you’re registered for
- What accommodation you need
- Any contact preference (email, text, phone)
You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or provide documentation. We take requests on trust.
